Gallery IV

This 5,000 square foot gallery contains three fine aerial trucks made by American La France, Seagrave and Pirsch, as well as a fully restored 1930 Ahrens-Fox Quad fire engine that is driven annually in the Fiesta Bowl Parade. The Seagrave and Pirsch aerials are entirely original. Behind the Ahrens Fox is a fully restored 1935 Ford / Pirsch flathead V-8 fire engine from Slinger, Wisconsin.

Also on display is a 2004 Ford F-750 buggy driven by the Granite Mountain Hotshot Crew out of Prescott, Arizona. This is one of two buggies that carried the Granite Mountain Hotshots to the town of Yarnell in 2013. During the course of battling that fire, nineteen of the twenty-man crew died.

Displayed on the walls of this gallery are over 5,000 arm patches from fire departments all over the world. A computer located at the entrance to this gallery can be used to lookup displayed patches by city, state, or fire department.

Gallery IV also contains a large Fire Safety Learning Area consisting of a mini-theater, a two room Safety House – which was completely redone in 2020 by the Arizona Burn Foundation to tie in with their Milo and Moxie Fire Safety Rangers program, and a large practical area that contains a fireman’s pole, kid’s turnout gear, and a desk made from the front end of a real fire engine!.
